The Friends have a variety of ongoing programs and projects and some in development that need your leadership or financial support. In 2023, our generous donors provided over $68,000 to fund the Friends’ Special Projects!
Projects Needing Funding
Support Habitat Restoration projects by hiring licensed contractors to complement volunteer work - $14,500
Plant new native plants and trees in areas cleared of invasive plants – 21,700
Continue multi-year Nix-the-Nox Project to remove poison hemlock - $6,500
Convert Battery Stoddard into a new park Interpretive Center- $6,000
Remove ivy on west facing slopes to protect trees and slope erosion - $18,600
Underwrite a one-year supply of Dogi-Pot pet waste bags for the trails area - $2,300
Underwrite a one-year supply of Trail Maps for the park - $2,900
Rebuild trail from North Beach parking lot to trailhead kiosk to prevent winter flooding - $2,600
