The Visitor Information Center and Gift Shop, originally located in the old guardhouse, is now located in Building 200, the old Fort Commander’s Office Building. Friends of Fort Worden volunteers operate the Park's Visitor Center and Gift Shop. Proceeds from merchandise sales are an important source of support for the Friends' park programs and projects.

The Visitor Center and Gift Shop opens at 10 AM and closes at 4 PM seven days a week. Some popular Gift Shop items include:

  • Washington State Parks “Discover Pass”

  • Free Fort Worden State Park trail maps

  • Fort Worden embroidered knits, tops and sweatshirts for adults and children, caps, and tote bags

  • Fort Worden coffee mugs, pins, patches, key chains, knives, books, and maps

  • Locally made lotions, and soaps

  • Lighthouse gifts including magnets, sculptures, totes, and lighthouse replicas

  • Children’s gifts including adorable stuffed animals and fun, educational games

  • Original 100-year-old Fort Worden slate roofing

  • Maps and Brochures of Fort Worden and Port Townsend.
